ABOUT THE MAGYAR FOUNDATION OF NORTH AMERICA

The Magyar Foundation of North America was founded in 2014 with a mission of creating a strong sense of community for Hungarian-Americans of North America. Our organization aims to promote Magyar heritage, history, and pride through educational, social, and cultural programs.

North America is home to the largest Hungarian population outside of Hungary. Magyars have come to North America for many reasons, but above all is the shared love of freedom and democracy between our two cultures. The Magyar Foundation of North America is dedicated to the advancement of Hungarian heritage, culture, and accomplishments in the United States through outreach and engagement of Hungarian Americans.

STRENGTHENING THE BONDS OF COMMUNITY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES AND HUNGARY

To see growth and sustained strength in the relationship between the United States and Hungary, it is important that we strengthen Hungarian-American communities across the United States. The United States and Hungary share the same values: freedom and democracy. An important part of our mission is to promote these shared interests, and use them to highlight the important contributions Hungarians have made to American society. Our programs aim to put a spotlight on the gifts of kinship between our countries, and look to the future of friendship and promoting our shared ideals and principles.
